My response to the Friday Fictioneer challenge for this week – Write a story with beginning, middle, and end in 100 words

A single wire hidden in the ground.  A single wire.  That’s all it took to create a spark that subsequently started the fire that burned down the house.  It was said that a pocket of gas was found to have been in the same area as the wire.

When diggers began to dig they unknowingly hit a wire no one knew was there.  A spark was created that ignited a pocket of gas from a near by natural gas line.  The explosion  rocked the house.  Moments later everything was engulfed in flames.
